How do online sessions work?
We meet by video call and work on a shared whiteboard, so you can see every line of a solution being written and write your own. The whiteboard notes are sent to you afterwards. A laptop and a steady connection are enough. A tablet and stylus help but are optional.
I work full time. Can this fit around my job?
Most candidates for these exams do. Sessions run on weekday evenings and weekends in your time zone, and the study plan is built from the hours you really have, including busy periods at work.
Do you guarantee a pass?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. You get a realistic plan, sessions spent on the problems costing you the most marks, and a straight answer about whether you look ready when the exam is close.
I failed this exam before. Where do we start?
With your result. The SOA reports a score from 0 to 10 with 6 as a pass, and CFA Institute shows how you did by topic. Bring whichever you have, along with your study record, and the diagnostic will show whether the problem was coverage, speed or exam technique.
What do I need to bring?
Your study manual or the official curriculum, an approved calculator, and the work you did since last session. If you do not have materials yet, ask on the free call and we will suggest what suits your exam.
How far ahead of the exam should I start tutoring?
Three to five months before the sitting is typical. Starting in the last four weeks still helps, but the sessions will be mock review and triage instead of teaching the syllabus.
Can you help me decide between the actuarial and CFA routes?
Yes. The free call is a fine place for that. We can go through what each credential involves, how the exams differ, and which first exam fits your background.
Can I share sessions with a study partner?
Yes, if you are sitting the same exam in the same window. Groups of two to four are priced per person. See pricing.
